"Awesome! Is one of many words I know that not only I would use but my 13 year old twins to describe their experiences at INTENSE HOCKEY.
This will be James and Jayne's 'fourth year!!.' They are at different levels of development but both gain each year an increased passion and enthusiasm for hockey. At level 1.2.3 of the programme, I have observed a sense of determination to achieve and to demonstrate their learning. There is also an increase in knowledge and skills of the game of hockey. Umpiring (watch out teachers at school) and leadership in coaching. The area that stands out for me is the feelings of self worth, sense of pride and increased confidence that they both gain.
The continuity of the coaches (including helpers), their professionalism, enthusiasm and leadership has given James andJayne role models and touched our hearts and minds. This influence, I can see is not only about Hockey, team work, team playing and tactics but as an individual - the Whole Person. Looking forward to this year!!"

"Both my daughters have participated in the Intense Hockey programme for the past 2 years. It has been amazing to watch their skills and knowledge of the game develop over that period of time. The structure of the programme is excellent and I am impressed with how the children are taught to both umpire and coach as well as develop their own skills and tactics.
My eldest daughter commented that 'It was good to train as an umpire as it made me much more aware of situations where I might give fouls away or how to win free hits!'
The coaches foster an excellent learning environment with a strong sense of structure and purpose as well as that all important ingredient... ..fun. This runs through all courses at all levels so no matter what ability or prior knowledge there is a great deal to be gained from the Intense Hockey courses.
Next years summer holidays are built around the courses, and that has been an order, from both our girls!"

Dear Steve
Thank you on behalf of Emily for the level 3 program last week in
Wakefield.
Emily really enjoyed the week and felt that she learned
some valuable techniques. She also felt that she had been stretched
which was important for her.
You may like to know that she had
attended another residential camp in the North of England a couple of weeks before in
Durham and that she felt that the week with you was far more
beneficial for her.

Just a quick note to thank you and the guys involved in the intense hockey camp at Adel that William attended. He thoroughly enjoyed the week again despite the rain and tells me he got top marks in the theory paper which I find hard to believe! If this is the case then it bodes well for another generation of the Powley family querying umpires decisions around the county in the years ahead!
I think his friend who also attended found it enjoyable despite his lack of previous hockey experience - he is off to the Grammar school in September where they play hockey so it was a useful head start for him.
Look forward to seeing you on the pitch and/or in the bar in the season ahead
Regards

Hi Steve
Just thought we would drop you a line to thank you guys very much for the enjoyable week both Beth and Abbie had completing Level 2. The coaches were fantastic and made the week great fun and the girls weren't able to pick out a favourite coach saying they were all great.
But they both felt that Gareth was great as a head coach so a huge thanks and once again a big thumbs up from us.
